Iran to export diesel to Iraq
June 23rd, 2011 - 12:25 am ICT by IANSTehran, June 22 (IANS) Iran will export 1.5 million liters of diesel oil to Iraq daily, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Ali-Reza Zeighami said both countries have signed a one-year contract in this regard.
Zeighami, who is the general manager of Iran’s National Company of Refining and Distributing Oil Products, said that Iran was ready to meet the long-term needs of Iraqi power plants for diesel oil.
Negotiations are currently on to double Iran’s diesel oil exports to Iraq to three million liters daily, he said in Baghdad.
