Mumbai, April 8 (IANS) The Ministry of Civil Aviation, jointly with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci), will hold India’s first ever international aviation conference in Hyderabad. The conference titled ‘Indian Aviation: Scaling New Heights’ would be held Oct 15-18 at the old Hyderabad airport, announced Ficci.
It will mainly focus on various issues pertaining to the civil aviation sector and hold exhibition of flying displays and customer demonstration flights.
A CEOs Forum will also be organised during the event, where leading CEOs of aviation sector will be invited for an interactive session with the civil aviation minister.
Ficci senior assistant director Kavita Sharma said: “Civil aviation is growing at a very fast rate. This is a platform we are providing the industry to do business. Our focus is to make it an Asia-Pacific show.”
To give civil aviation industry in India a common platform, the organisers have decided to hold this event every two years. Ficci has specially formed a steering committee for this show, which will organise and execute the event.
“We are hoping that more than 200 exhibitors will participate in the show,” Sharma said. Around 50 companies like Boeing and various airlines have already been finalised. The ministry is also expecting delegates from aviation sector from 21 countries.
