Minister of Interior Police captain Chalerm Yubamrung declined to comment on rumors that his position may be reshuffled and he may be promoted to Deputy Prime Minister. Police Captain Chalerm stated that such as matter was not appropriate to speak of and was based on the discretion of the Prime Minister and his party executives.
The minister nonetheless, assured that the member parties of the coalition were not pressuring the government towards any action and rebutted by saying that the media put too much concern on the administration. He also declined to comment on the People’s Alliance for Democracy’s political ideals, saying only that he had never seen anyone dare to over throw a constitution.
The Interior Minister concluded by saying that his ministry would deal with the newly resurrected PTV with the same standards as ASTV in the case of any illegal happenings.
