Jaipur, Jan 6 (IANS) Interactive sessions to attract young entrepreneurs and enrich the experience of Pravasi youth will be held in Jaipur on Saturday and Monday as part of Pravasiya Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2012.
Saturday’s session has been organised at the special request of the Rajasthan government to the overseas Indian affairs ministry and is likely to be attended by over 500 people.
It will target professional degree holders, young entrepreneurs and youth of Rajasthan from colleges in the age group of 18 to 26 years.
The session on Monday will be moderated by cricketer-turned-MP Mohammed Azharuddin. The event will be chaired by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik, while the panelists would include Rajni Sriram, the CEO and co-founder, Wings of Hope and Preeta Bansal, a noted attorney and former official in the Barack Obama administration.
“Engagement of the next generation of Pravasis with India has gathered pace as the vibrancy of their ancestral land and its global profile increasingly attracts youth,” a Rajasthan government statement said.
“Young Pravasis are returning to enrich their cultural experience, learn languages and work in India,” it added.
