Infosys’ Pune campus gets CISF cover
April 22nd, 2011 - 12:00 am ICT by IANSBangalore, April 21 (IANS) Global software major Infosys Technologies Ltd has got Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel to guard its Pune campus in Maharashtra, the IT bellwether said Thursday.
“With the latest deployment, we have CISF cover in three campuses, with the other two being Bangalore and Mysore in Karnataka, to provide fool-proof security for our employees and facilities,” the company said in a statement here.
On the occasion of the deployment, CISF Inspector General P. Phalnikar hoisted the organisation’s flag and received the ’security key’ from company vice president (Administration) Ramadas Kamath.
With a security command centre located in the sprawling campus, the deployment includes quick response time vehicles and patrol motorbikes for the CISF personnel.
“We are committed to protect our employees, premises and honouring client commitments. We are confident that the CISF protection will enhance security on this campus,” Kamath said at the event.
Infosys was the first corporate organisation in the country to be provided security cover by the elite security force in July 2009 at its headquarters in Electronic City, Bangalore, and subsequently at its largest campus in Mysore in March 2010.
