Infosys expands Singapore operations, to hire more
October 19th, 2011 - 9:43 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Oct 19 (IANS) Infosys Ltd has expanded its Singapore operations by setting up a new development centre and plans to hire over 600 people to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia, the IT bellwether said Wednesday.
“As a regional hub in southeast Asia, the 450-seat new facility in Singapore will play a strategic role in our operations. We plan to hire over 600 fresh engineers and laterals from the top three Singaporean universities,” Infosys board member Ashok Vemuri said in a statement.
The company, which forayed into Singapore seven years ago to address business demands in the regional market, plans to set up an innovation hub to serve its clients across verticals.
