‘Infogen Global’s closure not due to slowdown’February 10th, 2009 - 9:11 pm ICT by IANS
Kolkata, Feb 10 (IANS) The closure of city-based web development, designing and services company Infogen Global has nothing to do with the global economic meltdown, West Bengal IT Minister Debesh Das said here Tuesday.
“The company did not close down due to the financial meltdown. This is some kind of a fraud. The company was not into export,” the minister said on the sidelines of an event.
The company has recently pulled down shutters leaving around 1,000 employees jobless.
Asked whether the government would order a probe into the alleged fraud, the minister said: “The law should take its own course.”
