IndusInd Bank Q2 profit rises 71 percent
October 11th, 2010 - 6:19 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Oct 11 (IANS) IndusInd Bank said Monday its net profit jumped 71 percent to Rs.133.15 crore in the second quarter of this financial year on the back of higher interest earnings.
The bank posted a net profit of Rs133.15 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, 2010 as compared to Rs.77.82 million during the same quarter last year, IndusInd Bank said in a statement.
The Hinduja Group-promoted bank’s total income rose to Rs.1,029.20 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2010-11 from Rs.787.38 crore during the same quarter last year.
The bank’s earning from interest increased to Rs.854.08 crore during the reporting quarter from Rs.655.03 crore during the corresponding quarter of 2009.
