Kolkata, Jan 21 (IANS) Universal Success Enterprise (USE), promoted by non-resident Indian industrialist Prasoon Mukherjee, plans to develop an eco-industrial park on Nayachar Island, a proposed chemical hub.
The proposed Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) will come up on the island, near Haldia in East Midnapore district.

“USE group is developing two eco-industrial parks, a 13,000-acre one in Nayachar island and 5,000 acres in Dholera (Gujarat),” Mukherjee said Thursday while addressing a seminar organised by Confederation of Indian Industry.

The chemical hub project is a joint venture, in which the state government holds 49 percent stake, with the controlling 51 percent held by a consortium comprising Indian developer Unitech, and two Indonesian firms — the Salim Group and Universal Success.
