IndiGo flight grounded after caller claims ammunition aboard
November 30th, 2009 - 12:50 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Nov 29 (IANS) A Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight was grounded here late Sunday night following a call at the airlines call centre claiming that there was ammunition on the plane, airport sources said.
The IndiGo flight with at least 165 passengers, waiting its turn to take-off, was taken to an isolation bay, the passengers de-boarded and a search was being carried out, a official at the Delhi airport who did not wish to be identified said.
The caller was yet to be identified and traced.
IndiGo Airlines has not yet made any official statement.
