India’s exports surge by 26.8 percent in November: Rahul Khullar
December 8th, 2010 - 9:23 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Dec 8 (ANI): Trade and Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar on Wednesday said India’s exports in November rose an annual 26.8 percent to 18.9 billion dollars, while imports for the month grew 11.2 percent to 27.8 billion dollars.
“The exports numbers are good for November, $18.9 billion in November, with the caveat that the numbers are going to be revised upwards during the next couple of days. The cumulative were already in excess of $140 billion. My guess is you are looking at 210 billion for the year,” he said.
“Imports are around are about 27.8 billion in November which means a trade deficit on the goods account is about 8.9 billion in November. Cumulative is about 80. Current indications are looking at about $120-billion trade deficit cumulative. But of course there is the imponderable about oil prices,” he added. (ANI)
