Indians invited to invest in Sri Lanka
December 20th, 2011 - 5:14 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Indians have been urged to invest in Sri Lanka, now that the long drawn ethnic conflict has ended.
The appeal was made Tuesday by Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner Prasad Kariyawasam at a roadshow for the Sri Lanka Expo 2012 that will be held in Colombo in March 2012.
Kariyawasam invited Indian entrepreneurs to make use of the emerging status of Sri Lanka as a hub in the region to achieve win-win situations in trade for both nations.
India is Sri Lanka’s largest trading partner and one of the biggest investors. Investments by Sri Lankan firms in India too are on the rise as Sri Lankan businessmen take advantage of India’s dynamic economy.
