Indian stock markets closed Friday on Muharram

Mumbai, Dec 17 (IANS) Indian stocks markets will have an extended weekend with trading closed Friday on account of Muharram.During the truncated trading week, the 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) moved up 1.87 percent to close at 19.864.45 points, compared to the previous weekly close at 19,508.89 points.
