Indian passengers accuse Air France of ill-treatment

May 12th, 2009 - 3:38 pm ICT by IANS

Mumbai, May 12 (IANS) Indian passengers who travelled from Paris to Mumbai on an Air France flight that was delayed by 28 hours Tuesday alleged that the airline staff ill-treated them and were racially biased.
Passengers told reporters after arriving here that Indians were treated shabbily as compared to passengers of other nationalities.

A lady claimed that barring Indians, all passengers were given good hotel accommodation since their flight was delayed.

The airline allegedly did not give any reason for the delay and dumped all Indians in a small room.

Another passenger accused Air France of not providing Indians with proper food or water during the ordeal.

Air France officials remained unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts by IANS.
