Indian Institute of Mass Communication branch in Mizoram
November 12th, 2010 - 8:10 pm ICT by IANSAizawl, Nov 12 (IANS) A branch of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) would be set up in Mizoram and the first session of the institute is expected to begin August next year, officials said here Friday.
“The Mizoram government would extend all out support in establishing the IIMC centre in the state capital Aizawl,” Mizoram Chief Secretary Vanhela Pachuau told reporters after holding a meeting with IIMC director Sunil Tandon.
Tandon, who came here Thursday from New Delhi, held a series of meetings with state government officials and Mizoram University registrar Benjamin.
The Aizawl branch would be the second IIMC branch in northeast India after the one in Nagaland.
