Indian food artist to judge Finnair quality
October 22nd, 2011 - 2:30 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS) An Indian food artist in Stockholm, Sweden is among seven people to have landed an assignment of globetrotting on the routes of Nordic carrier Finnair for two months and give their impressions on its service quality.
Sanjoo Malhotra was among over 2,000 applicants from all over the globe who had responded to the “quality hunter” season-two offer by the carrier.
“These folks serve as the real-life embodiment of improving customer satisfaction in an iterative way that is relevant for the way we communicate today,” Finnair marketing innovations director Antti Nieminen said in a statement here.
The seven selected quality hunters started their journey Thursday from Helsinki for a period of six weeks and will travel on Finnair flights from Helsinki to destinations in Europe, Asia and the US.
Nieminen added that the eighth quality hunter will soon be chosen from the 2,000 nominations that came to the airline.
Malhotra creates cuisine that fuses Indian spices with fresh local Nordic-sourced ingredients.
“As the quality hunter for the food and drink category, Sanjoo will explore not only the atmosphere and quality of the food on offer both in-flight and at the airport but will go into greater detail considering ecological food sourcing and menu planning,” the Nordic carrier said in the statement.
The other selected quality hunters include: Yuval Golan from Israel, Mette Frøkjær Hansen from Denmark, Tomas Spohn from Germany, Francoise Lin from France, Asami Nagai from Japan and Mirva Lempiäinen from Finland, who currently lives in New York.
They will all write their comments on quality on Finnair’s blog. Readers will get a chance to comment on their writings.
