Indian, Finnish firms sign 13 partnership deals
November 28th, 2009 - 7:05 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 28 (IANS) A Finnish delegation has signed 13 partnership deals with Indian companies during a joint business forum held here.
The delegation, comprising more than 100 members, has signed three agreements and 10 expression of interests, said the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which organised the event Nov 26-27 in association with the Department of Science and Technology.
The countries have also signed three bilateral pacts in the fields of science and technology.
The Finnish team came here to attend the 15th technology summit, which attracted more than 400 Indian participants, CII said.
Finnish weather service company Forcea has signed an agreement with India’s telecom company Spice Digital for rolling out mobile weather services in India.
Similarly, Finland’s education technology services provider Sanako has tied up Indian IT major HCL.
The third agreement was between a consortium of National Institutes of Technology of India and five Finnish universities.
The three bilateral pacts were signed in the presence of Finnish Minister for Economic Affairs Mauri Pekkarinen and Minister of State for Science and Technology Prithviraj Chavan.
