Indian company gets international business award

Berlin, March 31 (IANS) An Indian company, CICO Technologies, has been awarded the Golden Award for Quality and Business Prestige for the year 2008.
The International Selection Committee of Association Otherways Management & Consulting, France, conferred the award on Anasuya Gupta, chairperson and managing director, at a ceremony here Monday.

The award was given to her by Neeta Bhushan, counsellor, economic & commerce, of the Indian embassy.

Sanjoy Dasgupta, CICO’s vice president, marketing, was also present at the ceremony.

Accepting the award at the ceremony at the Inter-Continental Hotel, Gupta said it was a proud moment for Indian business to be recognised at an international forum and was in recognition of CICO’s commitment to total quality in planning, marketing, information systems and HR management.

Founded in 2000 by late Amit Gupta of Kolkata, CICO Technologies Ltd (CTL) is the market leader in providing solutions and systems for waterproofing and improving the durability of concrete and steel.

CTL is headquartered in New Delhi with zonal offices catering to an all-India network of distributors and dealers and in South Asia.

CICO was also awarded STAR QC 100 TQM Quality Award in October 2006 by the Business Initiative Directions (BID) in Geneva.

The Golden Award for Quality & Business Prestige was given to 20 companies representing all the five continents. The award ceremony was by diplomatic corps from the 16 countries.
