India Yamaha Motor logs 30 percent sales growth in August
September 1st, 2011 - 5:11 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Sep 1 (IANS) Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor logged around 30 percent sales growth in the domestic market last month as compared to corresponding period of 2010.
According to a statement issued by the company Thursday, India Yamaha Motor sold 39,490 units (domestic 29,934 units, exports 9,556 units) last month against 30,461 units (domestic 22,683 units, exports 7778 units) sold in August 2010.
“We are focused on increasing our reach in tier-II, tier-III cities and the rural areas, for which we are planning to set up 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facilities in these areas. We are also hopeful that the upcoming festive season will help us further boost our sales,” Roy Kurian, national business head, said.
