- New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS) The petroleum and natural gas ministry’s in-house planning cell has signed an agreement with the International Energy Agency for cooperation in oil and gas sector.
According to a ministry release Monday, the agreement was signed between IEA and the ministry’s Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) last Friday.
The agreement will lead to exchange of technical experience and expertise in data management and analysis and also conduct joint studies on global and regional oil and gas markets.
“By entering into this deal, PPAC will enrich its knowledge and understanding of the functioning of the oil and gas markets at regional and global level and develop sound analytical techniques,” said the release.
It added that the ministry’s cell will take advantage off IEA’s data gathering and analysis expertise, especially in the current market volatility which requires accurate analysis.
