IGL Q2 profit up 17 percent

Mumbai, Nov 12 (IANS) Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) Friday said its net profit rose 16.68 percent to Rs.66.28 crore in the second quarter of current fiscal on higher revenue as compared to Rs.56.80 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

IGL, the sole supplier of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped gas in the national capital, said its total income surged 60.83 percent to Rs.447.33 crore during the quarter under review from Rs.278.14 crore in the same quarter last year, said a company statement

It posted Rs.123.41 crore profit for the first six months of fiscal 2010-11 as compared to Rs.105.07 crore in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2009-10.
