IBS Software acquires Moveo Systems
November 1st, 2011 - 3:49 pm ICT by IANSThiruvananthapuram, Nov 1 (IANS) IBS Software, a leading global provider of next generation IT solutions to travel, transportation and logistics industry, acquired Bangalore-based Moveo Systems, officials said Tuesday.
“With this integration, we have significantly augmented our capabilities to offer cutting edge solutions that help our customers transform their businesses,” said V.K. Mathews, executive chairman of IBS Group, in a press release issued here.
“Our Airport Information Portal has set a new global benchmark for digital interactivity in airports and the merger with IBS will enable Moveo to hyper-accelerate the reach of such solutions to customers across the globe,” said Sankalp Saxena, former chairman and CEO of Moveo Systems and now president, Aviation Operations Services in IBS heading the airline, airport and cargo operations, following the acquisition.
IBS Software is headquartered in Technopark, a technology park here.
Into its 14th year of operation, this is the sixth strategic acquisition of IBS, making it the only vendor in the world with an IT offering in all business areas of aviation - passenger reservation, airline and airport operations, aircraft maintenance, engineering and cargo management.
Moveo Systems was a privately held company developing innovative next generation human interaction solutions for airports and enterprises, the release said.
