IBN18 to raise Rs.510 crore (Business Capsule)
September 24th, 2009 - 6:18 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Sep 24 (IANS) Media company IBN18 Broadcast is seeking to raise fresh capital amounting to Rs.510 crore through a rights issue, the pricing of which will be decided later.
The company is also planning to increase its authorised capital from the current Rs.40 crore to Rs.55 crore.

Orchid gets reprieve in US case
Chennai: The District Court of Columbia has denied the US-based Wyeth Lab’s motion for temporary restraining order against Chennai’s Orchid Pharmaceuticals to sell the generic versions of two anti-infective injections, the Indian company said in a regulatory statement.
Wyeth had objected to the US Food and Drug Administration’s (USFDA) decision to grant Orchid permission to sell the generic versions of Piperacillin and Tazobactam injections in the US.

Lipton launches green tea variant
Kolkata: Packaged tea maker Lipton Thursday launched a green tea, Lipton Clear Green.
It has launched the green tea variant in four flavours - Green Tea Jasmine, Green Tea Mint, Green Tea Citrus and Green Tea Pure. Lipton Clear Green tea will be available in teabags across India in leading supermarkets.

Srei, National Insurance tie up
Kolkata: Sahaj e-Village Ltd, a subsidiary of Srei Infrastructure Finance has partnered with National Insurance Co to offer customised health and agriculture insurance to the rural population.
According to the agreement, Srei Sahaj will nominate non-governmental organisation (NGO) “Swagram Foundation Society” to sell all micro insurance products of National Insurance approved by the insurance regulator.

MTS reaches 2 mn subscribers
Gurgaon: MTS, the mobile telephony services brand of Sistema Shyam TeleServices, Thursday said it has reached a base of two million subscribers.
“MTS has became the fastest growing Indian telecom service provider (wireless and wireline) with a month-on-month growth rate of 16.8 percent,” the company said in a statement.
