Hyundai launches all new i10
September 23rd, 2010 - 10:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS) India’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) Thursday launched its hatchback car Next Gen i10 at a price ranging from Rs.3.49 lakh to Rs.5.91 lakh (ex-showroom in Delhi).
“With the Next Gen i10, we hope to continue the legacy. That is why we have further boosted the design elements and packed the car with safety and comfort-related technological innovations,” HMIL managing director and chief executive H.W. Park said.
According to Hyundai Motors, the car will be available in two petrol engine variants of 1.1 litre and 1.2 litre, offering a mileage of 19.81 km per litre for the 1.1. litre engine and 20.36 km per litre for 1.2 litre engine.
“On the exterior front, the new Next Gen i10 sports an aggressive and modern all-new front-end design,” said the company in a statement
The i10 brand was launched in the Indian market in 2007 and has sold about seven lakh units till date. The car also constitutes about 50 percent of the company’s exports.
