New York, Dec 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2010 would certainly be termed as the year of the recalls in the automobile industry. There is hardly any popular vehicle maker who didn’t announce a recall in the current year. Toyota led the list and has managed to recall millions of vehicles over a range of issues from stuck brake-pedal to floor mats.

In the latest recall news, Honda Motor Company announced that they are going to recall more than 1.35 million Fit cars because there is a major problem with the headlights. According to reports, there is some problem in the wiring which can even cause the low-beam headlight to fail. The wiring is done in such a manner that multiple wires “might” rub together and thus wear out, which can in turn lead to loss of power to the headlights.

The vehicles that are being recalled include Fit that were sold in the US and in Japan as well. There are 143,083 Fit cars that are part of the recall in the US. They were sold from 2007 to 2008. And 734,392 Fits are being recalled in Japan. Apart from them, Honda Jazz also boasts of the same problem and around 380,000 Honda Jazz that were sold in Europe are also being recalled.
