vbk_honda_67298fDetroit, Mar 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Leading Japanese automaker Honda is trying to get past its series of recall but it seems that the shadow of recall is still haunting the car giant. In a recently released statement, the company said that it will have to recall around 410,000 small trucks and minivans belonging to the Element and Odyssey series. The break system in the vehicles can make stopping a problem for the drivers if the fault does not get repaired. The recall will cover 68,000 Elements and 344,000 Odysseys approximately. The cars were made in the years 2007-2008.

Honda said in its statement about the recall that the break in these vehicles may feel soft and if the drivers do not push them hard enough, the speed will not reduce. This can have serous circumstances. As per the NHTSA data, three crashes have taken place owing to this braking problem, though no one has died so far. NHTSA got informed of the recall by Honda on Monday. According to the carmaker, the root of the problem can be traced to the electronic stability control system.

The owners of Honda Odyssey and Element vehicles would receive a letter from the company. The parts are yet to arrive, as Honda has said. The owners should get the letter by the end of the next month. This recall follows a bigger one that took place in February and covered 952,118 vehicles worldwide. The owners of the Odyssey and Element vehicles should check their cars with the Honda dealers for their safety before the repair can take place as the company has said.
