Honchos to discussion global economy
August 3rd, 2011 - 7:32 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Aug 3 (IANS) About 50 global corporate leaders will discuss the future of global economy, markets and business in Mumbai Thursday at a roundtable planned as part of the ‘Future Global 100′ initiative undertaken by Singapore-based Platinum Circle.
The initiative aims to create a community of companies and markets that can become the future leaders of the global economy.
“About 50 leaders representing India, Japan, Britain, the US, Singapore, China, Switzerland, Africa, Germany, Poland and France will be present to discuss the future of global economy, markets and business,” said Lionel Lee, chairman of Platinum Circle.
This is the second of the seven round tables planned across the world. The first was held in Singapore July 4.
Amongst the leaders who will participate in the roundtable are Rajiv Sharma, CEO of Global Industrial Division, Coats of Britain, Shubhada Rao, president and chief economist of Yes Bank of India, and Jaimal Shergill, CEO (MENA - Middle East and North Africa), UBA Capital of Africa.
Platinum Circle is a business grouping of global national corporations, each with annual revenues exceeding $100 million. The company is gathering more than 350 global and national industry leaders from over 30 countries to address the future of the global economy.
