Hindujas looks at tipper truck body plant in Goa

Chennai, Sep 19 (IANS) The Hinduja group is considering setting up a tipper truck body plant in Goa, the company said Friday.A company statement said the group, through its flagship heavy vehicles manufacturing company Ashok Leyland, and its associate companies will explore the option of building tipper truck bodies in Goa.

“The group is keen to invest in Goa. Our areas of interest lie in the healthcare, automobile and media sectors,” Prakash Hinduja, one of the four Hinduja brothers controlling the group, was quoted as saying in the statement.

The Goa government has agreed in principle to allot land for the group’s ventures, the statement said.
