Himachal wooing newly weds with special discounts
March 22nd, 2010 - 7:11 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Shimla, March 22 (IANS) If you just got married and are heading for the Himachal hills for your honeymoon, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has a gift for you — a 30 percent discount in select hotels.
“Special discount will be offered to newly wedded couples in Hotel Holiday Home at Shimla, Palace Hotel at Chail, Hotel Manimahesh at Dalhousie, Hotel Devdaar at Khajiiyar, Hotel Bhagsu at McLeodganj, Hotel Dhauladhar at Dharamsala, Hotel Sarvari at Kullu and Hotel Renukaji at Renuka,” said the statement Monday.
However, the scheme will be available till April 5.
The HPTDC has 57 economy and high-end hotels across the state with 1,070 rooms having a 2,320 bed capacity. It is also running 60 restaurants and cafes.
The state attracted 11,437,155 tourists, including 400,583 foreigners, last year. This year, 917,807 people have visited Himachal Pradesh till Feb 28.
