Himachal-Haryana bypass to be ready by December
July 7th, 2011 - 4:16 pm ICT by IANSParwanoo (Himachal Pradesh), July 7 (IANS) A bypass connecting Haryana and Himachal Pradesh will be ready by December, an official said Thursday.
“Eighty percent of work on the Pinjore-Kalka-Parwanoo bypass is completed. It is expected to be motorable by December,” a spokesperson for the National Highways Authority of India told IANS.
Traffic snarls between Pinjore and Parwanoo are common. When the bypass is in use, motorists will save on travelling time and distance.
“The bypass would technically avoid three towns (Pinjore, Kalka and Parwanoo) that are the main bottleneck on National Highway 22.,” said the official.
