High growth with low inflation main challenge: PM

New Delhi, May 22 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Sunday that his government’s main challenge was to sustain the growth process while keeping inflation under control.
Speaking at a function to mark the second anniversary of the United Progressive Alliance-II government at his residence here, the prime minister said the challenges faced by the government to sustain growth process were fiscal, social, ecological and political.
He said the country had recorded unprecedented growth of 8.5 percent during the seven years of UPA rule from 2004.
