HeroITES expands Scotland operations
August 22nd, 2011 - 9:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 22 (IANS) India-based business process outsourcing (BPO) firm HeroITES Monday said its Scottish subsidiary has created a new 110-seat facility near Glasgow.
The subsidiary, HEROtsc, opened the unit at Rothesay, about 65 km from Glasgow.
The expansion at Rothesay is the latest phase of growth for the company as it continues to win and service new business for Britain and EU-focused clients, the company said in a statement.
Earlier this year, HEROtsc added over 250 long-term jobs across its Scottish operations at Kilmarnock, Dunoon, Falkirk and Greenock. The company employs 2,800 people in Scotland.
“We warmly welcome this latest expansion by HEROtsc in Scotland, which is of mutual benefit to both countries. Scotland continues to attract the attention of major global clients and significant business,” said Mark Dolan, Scottish government’s senior representative in India.
Scotland has over 400 international BPOs, including some of Europe’s largest operations.
Internationally recognised as a world-class BPO location, areas of expertise include financial services, media, telecom, legal process outsourcing and knowledge process outsourcing.
