Hero Honda launches Splendor Pro to consolidate leadership
September 27th, 2010 - 4:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS) Hero Honda Motors Limited Monday launched a new variant of its best selling motor cycle Splendor at a price band of Rs.39,950 to Rs.41,950 (ex-showroom Delhi) to consolidate its leadership position in the deluxe segment.
Called “Splendor Pro”, the bike has improved technology, design and aesthetics features like “power start” and a new engine with variable ignition system.
“We are confident that Splendor Pro will further augment our growth in the deluxe segment,” said Anil Dua, senior vice president (marketing and sales), Hero Honda Motors Ltd.
The launch of Splendor Pro follows the introduction of the all-new Super Splendor in the market earlier this month.
He said the company would launch more vehicles ahead of the festive season. “We have lined up a few more exciting launches in the run-up to the festive season,” said Dua.
The company had launched the Splendor brand in 1994.
