Hero Honda launches new variant of Super Splendor
September 2nd, 2010 - 8:15 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sept 2 (IANS) The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Honda Motors, Thursday launched a new model of its bestseller bike, Super Splendor, with new features in the deluxe segment and said it is planning to launch new models ahead of the festive season.
The new Super Splendor is priced at Rs.45,950 (ex-showroom Delhi) and comes with a 125 cc engine featuring Intelligent Ignition System (IIS) and newly designed carburettor for improved engine performance.
“This bike caters to the changing needs of customers and offers them more contemporary styling and efficient performance,” said Anil Dua, senior vice-president (marketing and sales), Hero Honda.
According to the company, it plans to continue its status as the market leader in the domestic two-wheeler segment, where it sold over 4,00,000 plus bike in August.
“With consecutive months of four-lakh-plus sales since the month of May, our sales are moving at all-time-high levels. We are looking to build on this momentum with a slew of new launches leading up to the festive season,” Dua added.
