Hero Honda April sales up 39.12 percent
May 2nd, 2011 - 10:16 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 2 (IANS) Two-wheeler major Hero Honda Motors Monday reported a 39.12 percent rise in sales for April at 517,099 units compared to 371,652 units during the like period of last year.
Hero Honda sales in April surpassed its previous highest of 515,852 units, recorded in March 2011, the company said in a statement.
Hero Honda’s scooter Pleasure continued to gain ground and crossed the 35,000 unit threshold in April.
“It is extremely heartening to begin the new fiscal year with our best-ever monthly sales. This has been possible due to our all-round growth - across territories and across segments,” said Anil Dua, senior vice-president (Marketing and Sales), Hero Honda Motors.
