Heavy rains affect Mumbai’s air traffic
August 28th, 2011 - 4:18 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Aug 28 (IANS) Flight operations at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here were partially affected due to rains Sunday.
“Visibility dropped drastically below 450 metres. Flight operations were suspended twice between 10.10 a.m. and 10.20 a.m. and between 10.30 a.m. and 10.39 a.m.,” an airport official said.
Currently, all operations are normal.
Train services and road traffic were disrupted since Saturday as heavy rains lashed the city from Thursday. It caused flooding in several areas.
