HCMI Education expands operations to eastern India

Kolkata, June 17 (IANS) Singapore-based HCMI Education that facilitates medical eduction for aspiring students in many Asian countries is all set to expand its operations in eastern India by setting up counselling units in Siliguri, Asansol and Guwahati. HCMI launched its operations in India a year back. It has started programmes in eastern India followed by operations in Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Guwahati and New Delhi.
It has partnered 10 medical universities in the Philippines to offer MBBS programme to foreign students.
“India is a veritable warehouse of talent and there is a huge demand for Indian professionals in the US and global healthcare,” said HCMI managing director Baljit Singh.
He said Indian students would never have a problem in the Philippines because they spoke English.
The university has students from US, China, Korea, Taiwan, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Middle East.
At present, the Philippines is the second largest exporter of medical professionals to the US.
