HCC bags hyro power contract worth Rs.431 crore
June 25th, 2010 - 8:46 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 25 (IANS) Infrastructure major Hindustan construction company (HCC) Friday said it has bagged an engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC) worth Rs.431 crore from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL).
The 100 MW Sainj hydroelectric project, about 52 Km from Kullu, will be completed in 48 months.
“The contracts demonstrates HCC’s EPC expertise in the hydel power development sector,” said Vinayak Deshpande, president and chief operating officer of HCC.
Among HCC’s projects is the 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydroelectric project. It is currently executing 13 hydro-electric power projects.
