Have A Look At ‘Nook’ At Barnes And Noble Boutiques

nookJuly 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the competitive market of gadgets, a company not only needs to be working and developing its product but also promote it in a way that nobody else has done before and Barnes and Noble are following that path to differentiate its electronic-book reader named Nook. The electronic-book reader of Barnes and Nobles was launched in the market towards the end of last year and the company now is trying to boost the popularity of its product by building 1000 square feet boutique area in each of its stores all over United States. These boutiques will not only display Barnes and Noble’s Nook but also have live demonstration of the products and employees on floor to advice the customers and help them to test and use the product.

Barnes and Noble plans to go for an aggressive promotion of its Nook in the market of e-reader that has competitors like Apple’s iPad and Amazon’s Kindle. The 1000 square feet boutique area will have sample Nooks, demonstration tables and video screens. Apart from these the boutique area will also provide its customers with designer e-reader covers designed by well known designers and around 100 other accessories. The customers can also try out the products before they end up buying it.

William Lynch, chief executive of Barnes & Noble said to media sources that he thinks that “American customers want to try and hold gadgets before they purchase them” and that it’s all that they want before committing them to it. Barnes and Noble has already come up with small counters in its store where customers can have a look at Nook.
