Haryana to regularise over 1,000 colonies
February 19th, 2011 - 8:34 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Feb 19 (IANS) Over 1,000 illegal colonies in urban areas across Haryana will be regularised and all basic amenities would be provided to their residents, a state minister said here Saturday.Urban Local Bodies Minister Gopal Kanda said that all illegal colonies in and around several towns of the state would soon be regularised.
Many of these colonies are in the national capital region (NCR) area of Haryana, adjoining Delhi. These colonies are spread in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat and other districts of the state.
He said that municipal periphery of several towns in Haryana would also be expanded in coming months.
