Haryana plans fire-proof land record room
June 15th, 2011 - 11:41 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, June 15 (IANS) The country’s first water, fire and dust-free land record room will be set up in a tehsil office in Gurgaon district, a senior officer said here Wednesday.
“One of the tehsil offices in Gurgaon will have the first water, fire and dust proof, modernised land record room of the country,” Director (land records) Pankaj Yadav said.
Under the programme, all land record documents will be kept in new record rooms of tehsils across the state.
A sum of Rs.25 lakh per tehsil had been approved for construction of the record rooms, he added.
“Scanned copies of all the documents will also be kept separately,” he added.
