Haryana extends amnesty scheme for industry
September 5th, 2011 - 7:47 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Sep 5 (IANS) The Haryana government has extended the one-time voluntary disclosure and amnesty scheme for regularisation of violations of the building bye-laws and ownership terms by industrial plot allottees, an official said Monday.
A Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) spokesman said here that the amnesty scheme for industry which expired Aug 31 has been extended up to Dec 31.
The scheme is aimed at regularising violations pertaining to unauthorised transfers, unauthorised leasing and violations of building bye-laws and zoning regulations by the allottees over the years.
?The violators were not coming forward for regularisation of these transactions for the fear of payment of penalties and charges for the compoundable violations. Such instances were more in areas of Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon, Industrial Model Township (IMT) Manesar, Bawal, Kundli and Faridabad,? the spokesman said.
He said that the scheme would be applicable only in the case of existing or running industrial units subject to certain conditions that the cases decided in the past would not be reconsidered or re-opened.
The allottees will have to pay the prescribed fee for regularisation of the violations.
He said that non-compoundable zoning violations would not be considered for regularisation under any circumstances and these would have to be rectified.
