Graco Stroller Recall Affecting 2 Million Models

Oct 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2010 is indeed the year of recalls and the scenario has not only affected the cars and some medicines. The latest product to join the recall bandwagon is the Graco Strollers. The company has decided to recall some models of the strollers owing to the possibility of strangulation as it has been reported. Some of the toddlers can also get entrapped in the strollers which may also lead to injury. So far 9 injuries have been reported from the use of these strollers. The recall is going to affect almost 2 million strollers. The number of injuries may seem to be small but the company does not want to take any risk.
The Graco Baby website mentions that the toddlers who are less than 1 year old may face entrapment and strangulation while using these strollers. The strollers that are getting covered by this recall are Quattro Tour strollers as well as MetroLite strollers with manufacturing date before 2007. The users who have been using these recalled models have been asked to get in touch with the company so that they can get a free repair kit. They can either call the toll free number of Graco or log into its website for this purpose.
It has been reported that the recall becomes effective after an order sent by Product Safety Commission. The infants that are not strapped in the stroller in the right way can face trouble. The company has also specified the stroller numbers for the benefit of the customers. It is good that the company has decided to recall the models before more problems showed up.
