Goose launches Artwork Manager for pharma industry
January 3rd, 2012 - 7:09 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Hyderabad, Jan 3 (IANS) City-based software company Goose Tuesday said it has introduced its Artwork Manager solution that has advanced proof-reading capabilities for pharmaceutical packaging.
Artwork Manager provides dedicated support to the packaging departments of the pharmaceutical industry to automate the labelling and packaging artwork process without a glitch. It reduces product recall pain owing to faulty print, product mislabelling and manpower costs, according to the company.
The costs associated with pharmaceutical packaging are estimated to be 70 percent of the cost of the finished product. Industry experts also estimate that between 35 to 40 percent of all pharmaceutical product recalls are attributed to packaging and labelling errors and omissions.
“The challenges of pharmaceutical artwork management are becoming more and more complex globally. With intense pressure on time to market and maintain consistent brand appeal, organisations are on the lookout for new ways to accelerate packaging processes,” said Deb Pattnaik, founder and chief executive of Goose, which provides business re-engineering solutions to drug firms.
Goose Artwork Manager is currently implemented in Dr.Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma, Elder Pharmaceuticals, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Strides Acrolab and other pharma companies.
Goose is also in discussion with several other pharma organizations to roll out similar solutions.
