Raipur, Aug 5 (IANS) Several long-distance trains have either been stuck at various locations or have been considerably delayed in Chhattisgarh Tuesday after 18 wagons of a goods train derailed near Raigarh, railway officials said. The derailment took place between Bilaspur-Raigarh railway stations, some 200 km north of here.
South East Central Railway (SECR) officials say they need at least 24 hours to clear the tracks for normal traffic movement.
Several local trains for the day were cancelled and the routes of long-distance trains that mainly move between Mumbai and Kolkata were alterred. A few trains, including South Bihar Express, were stuck in the interiors of the state.
