GM India logs 101 percent rise in December sales

The company sold 8,258 units in December 2009 - its highest monthly sales so far - compared to 4,041 units in December 2008, its spokesman said.
Last month General Motors India sold 4,147 units of the Chevrolet Spark, 1,519 Chevrolet Tavera, 616 Cruze, 493 Aveo U-Va, 374 Aveo, 168 Chevrolet Optra, 859 Chevrolet Beat and 82 Chevrolet Captiva.
WIth this, GM India has closed the third quarter of this financial year (April to December, 2009) at 55,724 units against 47,786 units sold during the corresponding period last year.
