“The two products have been tailored for the local market conditions and the need of local consumers for economical, user-friendly personal transportation,” said Lowell Paddock, president and managing director, GM Motors India.
To be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, both the vehicles, developed with Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation(SAIC), are expected to go on sale later this year.

The hatchback would be launched with a 1.2 litre petrol engine. It would be made available later with a 1.3 diesel engine. The MPV would first come with a 1.4 litre petrol engine followed by a diesel variant.
GM had unveiled two other vehicles, Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 and Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 AT, on the opening day of the trade show Thursday.
