Gammon Infra bags contract worth Rs.850 crore

Mumbai, Nov 20 (IANS) Construction major Gammon Infrastructure has bagged a highway project worth Rs.850 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the company said Friday.
NHAI has already given the letter of award to the company for upgrading NH-47.

The project is for improving the highway stretch from Patna to Muzaffarpur in Bihar and falls under the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) phase III.

The project involves upgrading the existing highway to a four-lane dual carriageway, starting from Ramashish Chowk in Patna and construction of a 16.87-km new bypass connecting NH-28 of the east west corridor.
