Fog wreaks havoc on train schedules in Delhi
January 6th, 2010 - 12:28 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) As many as 29 trains were cancelled and 12 were running behind schedule Wednesday in the national capital due to fog, an official said.
“Twenty-nine trains were cancelled, four have been rescheduled and 12 are running late because of heavy fog here,” Anant Swarup, spokesperson of the Northern Railways, told IANS.
Trains which have been cancelled include Jaipur-Amritsar Express, Bareily-Prayag Express, Intercity Express to Jhansi and Garhwal Express.
The four that have been rescheduled by a maximum of three hours are Puri Express, Taj Express, Bhopal Shatabdi and Mahananda Express.
Trains running late include Kashi-Vishwanath Express and Kalka Mail.
