Etisalat signs sponsorship agreement with Manchester City
November 11th, 2009 - 11:52 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Nov 11 (WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) based communication services provider Etisalat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manchester City for a three-year sponsorship, WAM news agency reported Wednesday.
Manchester City FC (MCFC) CEO Garry Cook and Etisalat Chief Marketing Officer Essa Al Haddad signed the MoU, which precedes a full three-year strategic sponsorship agreement to be formalized later this year.
As part of the terms of the agreement, Etisalat will become the exclusive MCFC Telecommunications Partner in the countries with Etisalat’s operations.
“This strategic opportunity allows us to connect to passionate football fans around the Middle East and African regions, providing customized Manchester City FC content through mobile communications channels,” said Garry Cook, CEO of Manchester City Football Club.
